Sierra M. Miller
My author journey started with my debut novel called: There's Beauty Within Her. It took courage to finally release and share that book with readers. In my past, I wasn't always enthusiastic with sharing my work. I kept it locked away in my notes, and coward away from even sharing it on Wattpad. I was simply, afraid. Growing up being socially awkward and autistic only made things tougher. But one day I decided, why not try?
My love of writing started back in 2005 when I was a fifth grader, being inspired by my classmates writing their own original content. When I went back home one afternoon, I wrote the lyrics to my very first song. Before then I didn't know much about writing, but I always wanted an excuse to be creative. I always had this nudge to write something down, but I never knew what that something was. Writing my first song sparked something in me that made me want to do it even more.
Fast forward to high school, and my interest grew to storytelling. My stories at first were pretty cheesy, but with time and effort my creativity grew. With each story I wrote, I always had the thought to someday share it with others. Like most writers I became afraid to, and procrastinated on finishing my stories because of it. I only shared one story with my family, and made no future plans to publish my work. Now I'm at the point where I want to share again, and I hope each novel I create entertains you fully.
When I'm not writing, I like to cozy up with a great book, watch reruns of my favorite shows like Sister, Sister or That's So Raven, or watch funny videos on YouTube. Social media never really was my thing, and I did my best to avoid it for years. But now I'm on TikTok under the handle, @awkwardlyunfiltered. Feel free to interact with me over there!
Stay tuned for my future newsletter. I'll be giving updates on future books, plus bonus behind the scenes content from it soon.
XOXO, Sierra.
